We have bittersweet news for you. Kihaa Maldives has closed yesterday – 5.9.2025. Many guests have wonderful holiday memories and have seen the island thriving. Unfortunately recently the resort was not doing very well. In this respect it was a good decision to close.

While this is sad, at the same time we have good news too. New investors are joining Kihaa Maldives and after a period of about 3 months the re-opening is planned for December 2025.

Kihaa is such a beautiful island with lush vegetation, a beautiful beach, lagoon and house reef. It is the closest resort to the famous Hanifaru Bay where during the season from May to November mantas come to feed in the plankton rich waters. We reach many wonderful and famous dive sites in only 10 – 20 minutes by boat. We will miss it very much. While it is sad to see the island close, we are happy for the refurbishing to give it another life.

Our excursion guide Hammadh has already found employment on another resort closer to his home. Vanessa & Abdul will both help in our other dive centers at Brennia Kottefaru in Raa Atoll and Dhigufaru Island Resort in Baa Atoll.
