When Alex joined Ocean Dimensions again in August 2023 it was only a natural progression that he tried his hand on being a manager at the dive & snorkel center at Kihaa Maldives. He has already been working with us for several years since 2015 – with a few breaks.

While being in charge, Ocean Dimensions took over the excursions at Kihaa Maldives. We now organize trips like dolphin cruise, sunset cruise, night fishing and a weekly visit to the local island. These excursions are accompanied by our latest staff member Hammadh.

Also, Abdul has worked with us at Kihaa Maldives for seven years now – since 2017. He started as a dive master and became a PADI dive instructor in May 2022. He joined forces with Alex as an assistant dive center manager to help organise everything with the additional excursion activities.

In August 2024 Alex and Abdul switched roles, Abdul became the dive center manager and Alex the assistant.

Alex has a very creative mind and is from a graphic designer background. For Ocean Dimensions he created many posters, promotion material, flags, dive site maps for all 3 dive centers, signage, video footage, marine themed presentations for guests and more. With all the management duties he didn’t find enough time for diving as well as for his creative passion and was happy to step back.

And with all Abduls’ experience it was time for him to step up into the dive center management position. When Alex was on holiday, Abdul was already responsible for everything from daily scheduling, billing, teaching, guiding, maintenance, keeping statistics and attendance, inventory and more.
