The past months have brought quite a few changes across our team, with familiar faces moving on and new ones joining us here in the Maldives. As always in island life, transitions are part of the rhythm, and changes bring fresh energy, new stories, and exciting opportunities for both our team and our guests.

Abdul

Following the closure of Kihaa Island Resort in September 2025, Abdul—our long-standing team member—initially supported the team at Dhigufaru Island Resort in Baa Atoll during the busy holiday period. Since then, he has settled in at Brennia Kottefaru, working alongside Oliver, Francesca, and Ishan. With his extensive experience and deep knowledge of the dive sites in both Baa and Raa Atolls, Abdul now leads the dive center at Brennia Kottefaru.

Oliver

Oliver completed his two-year contract as dive center manager with us in April. His departure coincided with his mum’s birthday, making it the perfect opportunity for a special surprise visit home. Before his time with us, Oliver worked together with a friend of ours in Zanzibar and later in Samoa. As we all know, the diving world is a ‘small place’ and the chances are we will meet again somewhere sometime. Until then – we wish you all the very best.

Francesca

Francesca has been part of the team at Brennia Kottefaru, caring for all our guests and especially supporting our French and Italian divers. After completing her one-year contract in March 2026, she has moved on to new adventures. Thank you Francesca and happy bubbles.

Aishath

A warm welcome to Aishath our first female Maldivian dive instructor joining the Ocean Dimensions family at Dhigufaru Island Resort. She has been working as a PADI instructor from the capital Male and this will be her first time working in a resort. Aishath will not only be your diving teacher and dive guide but also a licensed guide in the famous Hanifaru Bay where we snorkel with the mantas from May to November. We are thrilled to have you on board!
