Cocktails on the beach

at sunset time

Cocktail Party on the Beach

As of August 2017, Ocean Dimensions are now diving & snorkelling in the Unesco Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll at Kihaa Maldives – the closest resort to Hanifaru Bay. We hope to see you there!

Once a week, every Tuesday, all guests are invited to a cocktail party on the beach. Here the guests have the chance to mingle and meet other guests and hosts from different areas of the resort, at the perfect time of the day – sunset time!

The Bar team is there to prepare cocktails and mocktails for you. Spa Director Virginie with her French charm will tell you all about the different treatments and offer short try out massages on the beach. Several team members from the “kindergarden” are there with their tools of the trade to make Henna Tatoo’s in the shape of turtles, dolphins and sharks on the childrens’ arms and legs. Jenny & Oscar, our Marine Biologists are there to chat with you about your encounters during your dives or snorkels. Chief Engineer Nafiu will be happy to answer questions about water consumption or generator power. Megan our sustainability officer is here to point out the green path that Six Senses Laamu is taking. Of course Martin our Executive Chef is there and if you are lucky maybe he reveals a favourite recipe?

Team members from different departments are in local costumes and play the Bodu Beru drums and sing and dance for you and of course your are invited to join them for a dance if you like. The cocktail party on the beach is also the perfect time to meet Marteyne, the General Manager of Six Senses Laamu, she will make sure everyone has an excellent stay. Beth from the Manta Trust as well as Vivian from the Blue Marine Foundation are there to explain about their research projects on mantas and groupers. And last but not least Ocean Dimensions dive and surf instructors are at the cocktail party as well to recount the days dive and surf experiences with you and if you forgot to book for the following days sessions you can still do a last minute reservation.
