Fierce pirates

on a snorkel adventure

Happy New Year – Pirates Style

As of August 2017, Ocean Dimensions are now diving & snorkelling in the Unesco Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll at Kihaa Maldives – the closest resort to Hanifaru Bay. We hope to see you there!

We ended 2016 in pirates style! Captain Alex, his first mate Jenni and their fierce crew of six upcoming pirates from the ages of 4 to 8 went on an adventure snorkelling excursion in the Laamu Atoll. It started with choosing a proper pirate name from an official registration chart which offered names like Mad Larry LobsterClaw, Jolly Pete SharkBait, Crazy Ed LeatherFace and so forth. Next fake tattoos had to be applied, eye patches and bandanas fitted and swords had to be tested. Before setting off into the high seas the captain hosted his pirate flag. The pirate snorkelling adventure included finding a treasure map which was floating in a rum bottle at high sea, so we all packed our masks, fins and snorkels. But of course another pirate crew knew about this map and attacked our boat with swords and water guns and we for at least an hour we had to fight them off before we could finally follow the map that lead us to a deserted island were a treasure chest was buried in the sand that held plenty of …. sweets instead of gold.

We hope you will end your year just as adventurous as we did here and wish you all a successful 2017 that includes a visit at Six Senses Laamu!
