Whaleshark sighting

in the first week!

Highlights of our first week in Baa Atoll

For our first dive we went to Dharavandhoo Thila and were welcomed by 4 mantas and several stingrays, we knew we were in the right place. We invited our first guests not only for the dive but also for a bottle of Prosecco. We completed our first PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course with Alessandro & Giulia from Italy. We did snorkel excursions everyday with 2 trips to Hanifaru and 5 trips to different reefs. On the way back from the turtle reef snorkel trip the boat crew saw a whaleshark. Of course we stopped the boat immediately and all jumped in to snorkel with a 8 meter whaleshark and about 10 mantas. We did a night dive and several discover scuba dives along our house reef and believe me when I say the marine life along the reef is big. Huge hermit crabs, 30 big sucker fish that look almost like baby sharks, stingrays, a big school of jackfish and giant brown and honeycomb morays as big as my leg. And another highlight of the week but this one was out of the water… we had a disco night on the beach at fullmoon. Week number 2 – can’t wait what you have in store for us.
