It's looking great

Don't you agree?

Our latest news

diving center

It has been a while since our last post here, so we have lots of catching up to do! Here is what we’ve been up to during the last month.

The Diving Center

We have been really busy finishing up our diving center, which is now looking pretty good. I dare say it is the coolest diving center in the Maldives! You can check out our pictures and then tell us if you agree.

Alex, our diving instructor/graphic designer has created posters to advertise our excursions, as well as some educational ones. We have one showing snorkelers how to interact with manta rays and another for divers, with some safety reminders. Outside of the diving center there is an information board, which is actually more entertaining than informative, but it translates well the spirit of the team.

Marc and Joerg, our two photo pros, have contributed with some of their best underwater pictures of Baa Atoll, and now they are proudly displayed on our walls. It looks like an art gallery!

Baa Atoll Manta Festival

If you follow us on Facebook (if not, please do), you probably read about it already but let us also share it here. We are super excited about it!
The first ever Maldives Manta Festival will happen on the 24th November, here in Baa Atoll, and of course we will happily participate.

The event is being organized by Manta Trust in partnership with Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and counts on the contribution of several resorts around Baa, including of course Kihaa Maldives and Ocean Dimensions.

The festival will take place in Dharavandhoo, only 10 min by boat from Kihaa. It will celebrate the rich marine life we are lucky to have here and also raise awareness of threats to it, such as climate change and plastic pollution.

The event will bring together the local community, including school kids, marine biologists, resorts, diving centres and tourists. Everyone is invited! It will be a day to remember!
