Try out new surfboards

NSP and Gnaraloo

New Surfboards for 2016 Maldives Surf Season

Ocean Dimensions Maldives
As of August 2017, Ocean Dimensions are now diving & snorkelling in the Unesco Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll at Kihaa Maldives – the closest resort to Hanifaru Bay. We hope to see you there!

From April to October the surf’s up, this is the surf season in the Laamu Atoll and we already had some brilliant days on our waves. For this season it was time to get brand new surfboards. During our last short vacation to Bangkok we met up with the NSP agent who is a surfing New Zealander stranded in Thailand by the name of Sander and from him we picked up 10 new surfboards in different sizes as well as 1 NSP wave SUP for you to try out. Don’t worry we did not forget the paddle boarder, we also shopped for 4 new NSP SUP’s to go and enjoy in the calm waters of the Six Senses Laamu lagoon. I had to look it up myself – NSP stands for Nature, Science and Passion! For our beginners we choose a different brand the bright and colourful Gnaraloo soft surfboards, ideal for training on our corner wave. Our surfboard racks a fully stacked. Some more good news… we are very happy to welcome back surf instructor David Hooper who left at the end of 2015 season and is back again now for the 2016 season. His short break he spend in his adopted home town Sydney. Despite the good surfing conditions at home he loves the Maldives. He is looking forward to teach you surfing or guide you on our local breaks on our brand new surfboards.
