Wetsuits...

Instead of uniforms

PADI Open Water Diver course for the local Police

Scuba Diving Maldives Ocean Dimensions
As of August 2017, Ocean Dimensions are now diving & snorkelling in the Unesco Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll at Kihaa Maldives – the closest resort to Hanifaru Bay. We hope to see you there!

Five members of the Gan Island Police station in the Laamu Atoll are here with us to do their PADI Open Water Diver course. Alex from Canada and Gerard from Borneo are their PADI dive instructors. This week the two instructors will be at their very best behaviour to not get into trouble with the police.

Six Senses Laamu has invited the officers to train with us and add this new skill to their curriculum. The wetsuits they are wearing now are a little different to the uniforms they normally wear. The officers did some snorkeling before but nobody had ever tried diving. They are certainly enjoying the diving now as it is definitely more fun to look at the beautiful marine life then to case a criminal.
