Welcome and Goodbye

It is by far easier to say welcome and so much harder to say goodbye.
We first got in touch with Simone from Germany and Kevin from Ireland before COVID started. At that time it was for the base leader position at Kihaa Maldives in Baa Atoll. Throughout the pandemic we wrote each other emails. We updated each other on how things were panning out for us in the Maldives, as well as for both of them in their respective home countries. Finally at the end of 2021 Sim and Kev joined our team at Brennia in Raa Atoll as base leaders.
In no time they picked up new procedures, learned new dive sites, became friends with the management and staff at Brennia. In short they made the place their home base. Most importantly they enjoyed the diving and the guests loved to dive with them.
We never met before but there is no doubt by now, Sim & Kev feel like family to us and we are incredibly sad to see them leave.
For the last month Sim and Kev have been working together with Andrea from Italy and Hannah from China. Both are no strangers to the Maldives and over the years have worked on different resorts and Atolls. We feel very lucky to find such a perfect replacement.
Like in any other job, handing over or taking over is not done in a day. There is a lot to pick up, names to remember and for sure some things are more peculiar than others. Already now Andrea and Hannah are embracing their roles and have dived into their new positions. We love to have you.
We want to extend a very warm welcome to Andrea and Hannah and wish Sim and Kev all the best for their future.
