Manta season is always a reason for excitement, not only for tourists but also for us, diving instructors and guides. Here in Baa Atoll, the expectation is even bigger as we have Hanifaru Bay at our door step (yes, we are the closest resort to it and I am literally looking at it as I am writing this article). Baa atoll offers so many great dives that it is already April and we have not yet revealed our favourite dive site for January. In the Maldives, January is generally known for strong currents and here in Baa atoll was not different. We actually enjoyed it while it lasted and had a lot of fun drifting past our long thilas. Oleg had his own travel marketing company in Belarus when he had a chance to go to Egypt to snorkel and start diving. When he had 20 dives he was approached by a local guide to help him with Russian guests. After some time Oleg “invited” the first dive instructor of Belarus to Egypt as he had never dived in Egypt before.
